What do you know about the Samian wine and the world famous, unique and sweet flavoured “moschato”? Here is your chance to learn a bit more about the viniculture and the wine production of this island, so much connected to the life of the natives not only historically but economically as well.
We will first visiting the wine museum and after a short walk through the old barrels we starting our trip with a wine tasting of the different varieties of samos wines from the famous muscat grapes. We continue to the mountain with the name vineyard “Ampelos” a beautiful green landscape, following the steps to the terrace with the traditional way of vine cultivation.
Next stop to the village Manolates, one of the most characteristic villages of samos island because of the workshops and the artists who living in this beautiful and full of inspiration environment. Local wine, greek salad and a plate full of different mezes for each person will be waiting for us to taste them in the local taverna on the square.We finish our tour with a car ride down to the sea again to a Greek cafe discussing the day’s résumé with “Souma” and a cup of greek coffee.
